My interest in creating video started because I wanted to always be learning. As a student journalist, there was always a new story I was chasing after. Since I graduated, I found a different way to find stories. I started to connect with people in my area who have a vision they want to share through video. This is my excuse to learn about other people and their passions outside of my own bubble. Most of the people I connect with seek help with creating short-form videos for social media. This is a different style of editing and shooting compared to the commercial work I do in my day job. And, in a world that revolves around social media, I felt it is important for me to learn how to create videos that work for those platforms.
